Kurt tries out for the Football team and becomes the kicker on the team to make his dad happy after his father found him, Tina, and Brittany in unitards dancing to Beyonce's Single Ladies. Kurt tells his dad that it is a new technique to help him practice for being on the football team.

Meanwhile, Will and Terri are given some advice about childbirth by Terri's sister Kendra (played by Jennifer Aspen). When Will leaves the room Terri breaks down and tells her sister about the fake pregnancy and of course Kendra tells Terri to continue to lie and find a way to get a baby.

Rachel is upset because Will has given the solo in Glee's new song this week to Tina.

Finn helps Kurt with football but is not happy with Kurt's plans to use music from practice in front of the team. Ken tells the team that they need a new kicker then Kurt starts up "Single Ladies." The team starts to laugh as Kurt does a little of the routine in the beginning then kicks the football and amazes them and ends up as the new kicker on the team.

Quinn tells Finn that she is pregnant. She says it is his even thought the two have never had sex.

Sue visits Sandy(played by Stephen Tobolowsky) who was the former teacher in charge of Glee and the chorus at McKinely. Sue has dirt on Figgins (the school principal, played by Iqbal Theba) and uses that to get Sandy hired as the new arts administrator. This means Sandy will oversee Glee and in charge of the musicals. Sue has Sandy give the lead in the school performance to Rachel. Will is furious because Sandy has stolen his best singer.

When Will tells Rachel that he gave the solo to Tina to help strengthen the confidence of the rest of the Glee Club to help get them ready for regionals. Rachel gets upset that he is hurting her to make the others look good.

Finn walks over to Will and begins to cry in Will's arms. Will takes Finn out to lunch and Finn tells Will that he is worried because guys with children at a young age end up with no future. He tells Will he needs a Football scholarship and the only way to get the team better is if Will would come and work with the team to dance to loosen the players up.

That night Will tells Terri about Quinn being pregnant.

Will and Ken (the coach) convince the football team they need better attitude. If they can sing and dance in front of people football will be easy. Puck doesn't like the idea.

Kurt teaches the team "Single Ladies" at practice. The after practice Finn tells Puck about Quinn. Puck goes to Quinn and then we find out that Puck is actually the Father not Finn. Quinn got drunk and had a one night stand with Puck.

Quinn flees to her car in tears to fin Terri waiting for her. Terri starts to ask her about her pregnancy and offers her so advice. Then Quinn asks Terri what she wants from her.

At the football game the guys are to nervous to do the dance and Kurt's dad is in the stands. The other team is knocking Finn all other the place and McKinley is behind. Finn calls a timeout and with one second left in the game the guys all together do the "Single Ladies" dance and then score a touch down. Kurt gets the extra point and McKinley wins. Kurt's dad couldn't be more happy or proud.

Later that night back at Kurt's house, Kurt tells is father that he is gay. His father tells him that he has always known and that no matter what he still love Kurt and he accepts Kurt for who he is.

The episode ends with 3 football players, including Puck, joining the Glee Club. Tina is still on the solo and this prompts Rachel to quit.
